Happy New Year and welcome winter! We hope you made the Lyndon area a destination for your holiday visits and took in some of the spectacular beauty that exists in our little neck of the woods. The holidays may be over, but full on winter fun in the Northeast Kingdom is in high gear! All snow related activities got off to an early start and early snowfalls created a great base for alpine and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, fat biking and snowshoeing. For those who like the warmer side of winter, do some antiquing and one of the local shops, or have some fun tasting local craft beers at one of the area’s breweries (visit vermontbrewersassociation.com). A relaxing massage while snow drifts softly down outside on a cold day is never a bad thing, either! The Fairbanks Museum always has interesting activities and displays and Catamount Arts has top notch films and performances. Watch for details about the upcoming Lyndon/Burke Snowflake Festival that takes place February 16 to March 3rd, 2019. Two weeks of fun activities for the entire family! Remember…always check trail reports before heading out to make the most of your adventures!
